Hello our Clean Freak Family! Happy Tuesday!

We think we can finally call itā€¦ Spring Cleaning has officially arrived!

It has been a long Winter here in the Midwest so for some of us it may feel like we have been hibernating for months and we are finally ready to step out into the sunlight again! As fellow Clean Freaks, Spring Cleaning is the BEST time of year!

So to help everyone get started and stay motivated we started our web series, ā€œSpring Cleaning Spree 2023!ā€

We will be sharing 30 spring cleaning videos over 30 days. Our goal is to help make your spring cleaning process a little bit easier, and by the end of the 30 days, your home will be fresh and clean.

So put on your favorite tunes, jump in your comfiest cleaning clothes and letā€™s do this!

Sometimes the best way to start a big project and stay motivated is to break things down into smaller, more manageable pieces. If you canā€™t do everything on our list, no need to worry! Do the best you can! Even doing a couple of these projects will help your home be ready for Spring!

So let the Spring Cleaning fun begin!

Day 1 Clean the Microwave and Toaster

Time 30-40 minutes

Cleaning the Microwave:

Start by mixing a cup of water and a cup of white vinegar and add some fresh lemons

Microwave the mixture for about 5 minutes

Finish by cleaning the spinning tray- And you are Done!

Cleaning the Toaster:

Very Importantā€¦ Unplug the Toaster before cleaning!

Remove the ā€˜crumb drawerā€™ and clean

Then shake the entire toaster upside down over a lined garbage can

You can also use a little brush to remove any remaining crumbs

Next give the exterior a scrub and clean with the same mixture we used in the microwave. Caution: Be careful not to get the inside wet

Day 2 Clean the Kitchen Cabinets

Time 3 Hours (You may want to consider doing this over several days)

To begin:

Itā€™s up to you if you want to remove everything or just spot clean the inside.

Either way start by dusting and vacuuming

Next mix up a solution of about 1 gallon of warm water and a teaspoon of Dawn or dish soap

Next use a 3 towel system:

The first microfiber towel is dipped in the cleaning solution to clean The second is a damp water only microfiber towel to rinse The third is a dry microfiber towel to dry and buff

For areas that are sticky and greasy consider using a non-scratch scrub sponge

When cleaning drawers we like to use a plastic container, put everything in that drawer in the container. Clean the drawers following the steps above and then put everything back.

Move to the next drawer. This is also a great opportunity to see what items you donā€™t use anymore and set aside any item you would like to donate or dispose of.
